4. Bouncing back
Violin (Anja), G shakuhachi

Playing percussively, Anja uses the incredible slap-back of the returning echo to determine her tempo. We move apart and time lags; walking towards each other, our rhythm becomes tighter. This piece was created walking beside a single-file audience along the length of the tunnel. Like a couple of bats in a huge cavern, we used echo-location to navigate the unfolding music. Try headphones to follow our moves.
