13. Whispered Shadows D shakuhachi

This work for solo shakuhachi incorporates polyphonic elements that first flowed from my shakuhachi and voice within the echoey walls of La Chapelle Sainte Philomène, a crumbling 11th century stone chapel perched on a hill in a forest in Provence. The composition was completed two years later amidst mountain woodlands and windswept beaches on Flinders Island, Tasmania in 2014.
